Bogdan Aleksiev

From a young age, I have always been deeply passionate about learning and self-improvement. In elementary school, I excelled across all subjects, ranking among the top students in my school and winning numerous medals in international math competitions. However, my journey truly expanded when I entered high school - First Language School - Varna, where I discovered my passion for leadership, teamwork, and community involvement.

As a high school student, I have taken on various leadership roles, including co-president of my school's student council, where I actively contribute to the student community and help shape the school’s future. I have also represented my school and country at national and international forums, including the European Youth Parliament and the Model European Union, developing my skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and diplomacy.

Beyond academics, I have been deeply involved in organizing and participating in conferences, charity markets, and cultural events, such as the 150th anniversary of Vasil Levski’s death and the national historical conference in Kardzhali, where my documentary on children during World War II won first place.

I also take pride in my contributions to environmental projects, including the design of a green eco-classroom and participation in the 'Green Pastures' eco-academia.

Sports have also played a significant role in my personal development. As a dedicated chess player, I have competed in numerous tournaments, leading my high school team to its only-ever national finish. I also enjoy playing tennis and pickleball, which have taught me the value of discipline, focus, and perseverance.

Balancing academics, leadership, and personal growth, I strive to inspire others, create meaningful change, and make a positive impact in my community. I look forward to continuing this journey, constantly learning, and pushing my limits both inside and outside the classroom.
